It seems that every time I actually sit town to write, I go blank even though I've typically had weeks to mull things over. Hopefully I'll be able to remember everything today, if not, oh well I guess...
So we are now in Minnesota, and yep, it looks like this is where baby will be born. Not Boston, not Texas...Good ol' Minneso-tah. We are still in the process of finding a place to live and it's actually stressful trying NOT to stress out about how close to the due date and still living in the hotel. I'm pretty confident we'll make it through, but I sure do hope I get a chance to rest before he comes. There is SO much to do I can't even begin to tell you.
I finally found a midwife and surprisingly, delivers at a hospital that encourages natural childbirth! Happy Happy Joy Joy!!! Now let's see if I can find a doula (or even have the time or patience for it.)
Baby seems to be doing just fine. My iron is a bit lower, so already being anemic I have to definitely up my iron intake. I had to endure the 3-hour Glucose Tolerance Test yesterday. Doing it wasn't so bad, in fact they put me in the "comfy chair" until lunch time. The yucky part was getting 4 needles stuck all over me and then the horrible after-affects of coming down from all the sugar! I don't know if I've ever felt so yucky in my life! Anyhow, I passed the test just fine and am feeling back to normal today. I've been getting plenty of exercise by walking around the Mall of America, typically walking for 4 hours. It really does give me work out!
Other than that, everything is normal and I'm hoping he'll arrive in a bout 4-5 weeks. Now we have to get the dates set for when my mom can come out. Since I'm not being induced and waiting for things to just happen naturally, it's kind of hard to guess.
Well, that's all my brain can come up with for now. More later I'm sure.
